Shocking News

SONIA IS MEAN. But alas, I acquiesce.

Stuff that's been happenin':

- Korea ain't so bad once you come to terms with your hatred for it.
- Alec Palmerton and David Saetang got the Fulbright to Korea for next year! Congrats, fellas! Disregard previous item!
- Jon wonders what the female-male ratio of Fulbright ETAs will be next year. This year it's 3 to 1.
- Jen is visiting Korea for two weeks! I go to Seoul tomorrow to meet her. =D
- Roxy is SIMULTANEOUSLY visiting Korea for a week! We'll meet her and her meat puppet in Seoul too. =D =D (note: aforesaid meat puppet is a really swell guy)
- My fraternal unit is getting married on May 19th. I'm the best man. I get a week off from work to go back to Boston for the wedding. Huzzah!
- I'm applying to work in the Pomona admissions office next year, although I'm not sure if I want to.

That's all, Sonia Fang! Now leave me in peace for another two months!

Jon, do not go work at Pomona. I am 100% positive you will hate life. I mean, all of your friends will be gone, you'll be older than everyone and 15 years younger than everyone else, and you'll spend the whole time feeling slightly out of place and hella bored. I was friends with Imani when she was in her post-college year at Pomona and she felt this way--but you'll be THREE years older than the seniors! Don't do it. If you need a job I can find you one in SF--how does real estate consulting sound? Hm??? -audra

HOW DARE YOU, CHAUDRA. What do I look like? An UN-friend? Bitch!

Nayden and Krys, at least, will be in the LA area, and Jackie will be in SB. So it's not all that bad, I hope, if you do choose to work for Popo.

Anyhow, thank you, Jon. I'll try not to be mean for 2 months, but I can't promise anything.

What up, home fry.

1. Hope visit with Jen was grand.
2. As for Pomona -- Audra is right that Imani had a hard time, but Josh is there now and doing great. A bunch do move into admissions -- you just have to be sure you want to read way too many high school essays and always be perky. If you want to talk more about student affairs and admissions stuff, happy to do so (since it's all I do these days -- I'm all boring like that).

Hope you're well. The world is small... my mom and her husband were in Korea last month visiting one of my brothers.

Let me know if/when you and I are in the same time zone. I miss the Hung Magic.
